Highland Park FIDO

Screen Shot 2014-05-13 at 2.46.51 PMHighland Park FIDO is getting organized for our Highland Avenue Clean-up Day, rescheduled from May 10 to this Thursday afternoon, May 15, from 4pm-7pm! We are doing a good weather dance to keep the rain away! However, please know that we will be out rain or shine this time because of the need to get the poop cleaned up and the flags pulled up before Do Dah Day.

There’s still time to volunteer if you want to help. We will be gathering in Caldwell and Rushton Parks between 3:30pm and 4pm to form our teams and routes. Please email us at highlandparkfido@gmail.com if you would like to help so we can keep you posted on the logistics.

We also want to thank everyone that has supported this first effort at getting our neigborhood cleaned up and hope that those that feel otherwise will at least respect that we are all volunteers that are doing this because we care about protecting the quality of life for everyone in the neighborhood and because we also want to keep the neighborhood beautiful for all to enjoy its public spaces; therefore, please do not remove our flags or other signage on your own. They will be removed by FIDO and other volunteers during the clean-up on Thursday. The flags help mark the areas were the dog poop needs to be cleaned up and the signage is there to help inform.

Regards from FIDO!
